High Achievement Bursary

The High Achievement Bursary 2019/20 is a cash award which is available to full-time undergraduate students who commence their course of study at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in September 2019 in a subject area covered within the Institute of Management or School of the Arts. 

Amount

The High Achievement Bursary 2019/20 is worth up to a maximum of 拢2,000 cash per academic year for up to a maximum of three academic years subject to eligibility. The award is paid to the most talented students joining 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 undergraduate courses in September 2019. There is no need to apply for the award, students will be automatically assessed via their application and results but they must have applied for a course at the university by 15th January 2019 and accepted the offer of a place (selected the university as their first choice through UCAS) by the decline by default date in May or June 2019, the Admissions Department will send reminders. The award may be offered to U.K. and E.U. residents only who are studying their first full-time undergraduate programme. The award may be granted in addition to other bursaries and scholarships available at the university.

Eligibility

Students must achieve a minimum 128 UCAS points at A2 Level from an OFS approved qualification such as:

  • A-level (ABB+) from maximum of three subjects

  • BTEC NQF Qualifications (DDM) or equivalent from maximum of three subjects

  • A combination of A-levels and BTECs is acceptable

Applicants must also meet the general entry requirements for the University and the specific course to which they are applying. All qualifications must be verified by UCAS or by the University. Students must have selected a relevant course at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 as first choice through UCAS by 鈥楧ecline by Default鈥 (May or June 2019). All students must have commenced on the first year of a relevant full-time undergraduate course of study at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in Semester 1 of the 2019/20 academic year. The course must be delivered at the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 campus and not at a partner or franchise partner college. The award will be paid for first Higher Education (H.E.) courses only. Students who have previously commenced on a H.E. course of study will not be eligible to receive the award.

In order to qualify, all students must be eligible to receive student support under the current government Education (Student Support) Regulations.  Students must be studying full time on an undergraduate course and paying the full published tuition fees for the academic year in 2019/20 and for all subsequent academic years for the duration of the course.

The following categories of students are not eligible to receive the High Achievement Bursary 2019/20:

  • Students who apply by advanced/direct entry

  • Students 鈥渢opping-up鈥 from a Foundation Degree, HND or equivalent course.

  • Students transferring from another institution.

  • Students whose tuition fees are paid or part-paid through a sponsorship arrangement, for example by an employer

  • Students undertaking industrial or work experience on a full time 鈥渟andwich鈥 basis will not be eligible to receive the bursary during their 鈥渟andwich鈥 period

  • Students studying abroad will not be eligible to receive the bursary during their period of study abroad

Payment 

Payments will be made in two equal instalments of 拢1,000 each in each academic year, direct into the students鈥 bank account subject to continuing eligibility. In each academic year the first instalment will be at the end of November and the second instalment will be at the end of March, providing entitlement to government funding has been confirmed by the Student Loans Company.

Terms and conditions

Payments will be permanently terminated if the student withdraws, transfers to another institution, fails their programme of study, or interrupts or suspends their studies.

Students must maintain a 60% average in module results in each academic year of their course for continued payment in the following academic year.

Payments are subject to continuing and satisfactory attendance on the course.

Payment of the award is entirely at the discretion of the university.
