Study with an Off-Campus Partner
We work in partnership with many different organisations to expand our current provision and enter into new business opportunities. In particular, we work with a number of sports and athletic clubs, private clinics, charities and community groups to offer a wide range of placements for our physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation students.
Over the next three years, the Clinic will be working in partnership with the Bolton Foundation NHS Trust. Their staff will bring a mixed client load to enhance our student experience through placements. This will expand the different types of conditions and types of treatments that our students will be dealing with. The Trust staff will be working in the Clinic three days per week, (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), mainly with our physiotherapy students, and our sport rehabilitation students on Thursdays and Fridays.
It is also hoped that this collaboration with our local NHS Trust will partner also provide research and publication opportunities.
The University supports the Armed Forces Covenant in supporting serving personnel and their families. The Clinic will continue to offer a range of treatments and services to servicemen and women with injuries, or who need support during their rehabilitation.
In addition, we will be continuing to undertake a range of important research projects in support of veterans, including mental health and prosthetics.
We also work in partnership with several sports clubs, clinics and charities across the industry to provide a wide range of work experience placements for both our second year, third year, and masters students to enable them to gain a much broader experience in different clinical settings and work environments to gain hands-on experience with a wider range of clients and real-life situations.
We continue to actively seeks new partnership arrangements with different organisations who can help us to achieve this. We will offer full training and support to our partners and create tailor-made placements that will fit into their organisations whilst still providing our students with unique learning opportunities.
If you would be interested in working in partnership with us, please contact us to arrange an appointment with our key staff.
