I began my career in 2004 as a volunteer in a nursery, before becoming a qualified nursery nurse, which enabled me to obtain the relevant level qualifications for entry on to a nursing degree in 2010.

I completed my BSc Hons Degree in Children鈥檚 nursing in 2013 at Edge Hill University, before going on to complete my Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) and nurse prescribing qualification here at The 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in January 2015.

I worked for a short time as a health visitor before being asked to teach a module here part-time in the evenings. I then started full time as a lecturer here at The 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in November 2015.

Since being at the university I have completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, my NMC teaching qualification and I am a fellow with the HEA.

Most recently I have completed my Community Public Health Nursing Masters Degree. I now hope to commence Doctorate level study in Autumn 2018.

Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Wider impacts of Type 1 diabetes in adolescence Infant mental health
Importance of the early years; neuroscience, early brain development and attachment.
Working with complex families.
Safeguarding children

Teaching Responsibilities:
Lecturer and dissertation supervisor on the HND and BSc in Health and Social Care.
I also teach on some of the CPD modules.
