Study with an Off-Campus Partner
Nyree qualified as an adult nurse in 1996 with a diploma in nursing attained at Salford University which enabled her to work as a first level nurse, within an older person鈥檚 rehabilitation unit and within the post-acute stoke unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital. In 1999, Nyree moved to the community and worked as a staff nurse on a District Nursing team in Bolton Primary Care Trust. In 2003, she become a full-time student undertaking a degree and qualified as a District Nurse and prescriber (V100) following completion of the programme at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Nyree worked as a District Nursing lead until 2007, when she commenced employment with the community nursing development team. In the same year, she attained a post graduate certificate in teaching and learning at Bolton University, gaining recognition as a teacher on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
Whilst working with the community education team, Nyree also completed a master鈥檚 degree in Back Care and Management at Loughborough University which enabled her to monitor and deliver moving and handling training and complete ergonomic risk assessments.
In 2013, Nyree joined the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播, as the lead for the Specialist Practice District Nursing programme and a senior lecturer. Since commencing employment with the University, she has held several roles including lead for student recruitment and retention and Trainee Nursing Associate apprenticeship programme lead within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Nyree is also Mandatory Training facilitator, health and safety, both of which are within the Health and Wellbeing Faculty and she supports the development of marketing for the post graduate provision.
Nyree has experience of working with other Health Education Providers (HEI) through undertaking validations as an external advisor and she is currently an external examiner at two HEI鈥檚, for the Specialist Practice Apprenticeship programmes.
Nyree was awarded recognition by the Queens Nursing Institute for her role in community nursing and she is a member of the Association of District Nurse Educators, the Association of General Practice Nursing Educators and the Loughborough LARF (research forum).
Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Nyree has an interest in leadership and care of the older person. She is currently researching opportunities relative to simulated learning and the impact that this can have on leadership behaviour and performance in the workplace.
Teaching specialisms:
Nyree teaches on a range of undergraduate and post-graduate modules but has a particular interest in community specialist practice, Leadership and education
