Sean joined the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in 2011, having worked in a part-time capacity from 2009 and has over 13 years of experience teaching in higher education. Sean is currently Programme Leader for our MSc Strength and Conditioning, and BSc (hons) Sport and Exercise Science programmes. He currently teaches on biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and research methods modules across those programmes, in addition to leading the biomechanics specific modules on our biomedical engineering programme. Sean supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students each year with various research projects within the research centre.
Sean completed his Ph.D. in 2019, exploring the role of whole-body dynamic stability movement strategies in the execution of dynamic tasks. His Ph.D. included the utilisation of induced acceleration modelling and analysis methods to explain control of the centre of mass related to change of direction performance and common lower limb injury markers. Sean is also interested in the role of advanced research methods in biomechanical analysis, and providing evidence based strength and conditioning intervention strategies from a biomechanical perspective.
Sean is accredited by The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) as an Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist (Biomechanics - Scientific Support) and is recognised by the Science Council as a Chartered Scientist. He gained Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist status in 2010 from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy through completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (PGCert TLHE) in 2013. Sean also has coaching qualifications from British Weightlifting in Olympic Weightlifting. Sean currently works as a specialist in the university鈥檚 Athlete Development Centre (ADC), where he supports several professional football and rugby teams, and athletics athletes with the provision of sports biomechanics assessment and feedback. Specifically, Sean provides biomechanical exercise and injury screening reports on campus from our 3D motion capture, force platform, Electromyography (EMG) and Isokinetic Dynamometry facilities. Sean has also previously worked with Olympic athletics athletes and on large-scale research projects for military personnel.
