Giliane started working at The 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 in 2021 as a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery. She was appointed as Programme Lead for Midwifery and was keen to see the midwifery portfolio expand further to meet the needs of the local and national communities. After being appointed Lead Midwife for Education, her focus on ensuring the highest quality of education amidst this expansion expanded further while collaborating closely with other Higher Educational Institutions and Authorities.

As a registered midwife since 2010, Giliane has practiced in Malta and the UK in all maternity-related fields, including gynecology triage, neonatal intensive care, community, breastfeeding clinics, and intrapartum areas for women requiring universal and additional care. She stopped practicing in 2021 upon taking her post at the University and choosing to focus more on research and education to enable a broader impact.

Giliane completed a MSc in Midwifery and Women鈥檚 Health in 2012 focusing on advanced clinical practice and childbirth-related post-traumatic stress disorder and a Postgraduate Certificate in Normal Childbirth in 2013. In 2018, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education with a particular focus on simulated education, and in 2020, she completed a PhD focusing on salutogenic approaches to childbirth experiences.

Giliane has dedicated her life to supporting women and their families. Having been working in Higher Education since 2017, she is able to achieve this by supporting and challenging students to develop, grow and shine to ensure a strong future workforce within midwifery that puts women鈥檚 safety and needs at the heart of everything they do.
