Entry Requirements
- 48 UCAS points. We accept a full range of qualifications that carry UCAS points, including A-levels, BTECs and T-levels. Please see our guide to the UCAS Tariff for examples of how to achieve these points. For most courses, we are also able to consider non-tariffable qualifications.
- Your Level 3 subjects must include a relevant subject; for instance, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering.
- You should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent), including English, Mathematics and Science.
- We鈥檒l be happy to consider your application if you have relevant industrial experience or alternative qualifications.
- You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
- If English isn鈥檛 your first language, you鈥檒l also need IELTS 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any band (or equivalent). Teaching & Assessment
We use various teaching, learning and assessment methods to help you achieve your potential. Timetabled sessions, such as lectures, seminars and tutorials, offer you knowledge of the concepts and principles essential in engineering. We expect you to build on these in your own time through extra reading, revision and reflection on what you have learned. Open-ended projects and design, make and test activities allow you to apply the principles you've learned, bringing the concepts and practical applications together in your mind.
Regarding assessment, you can expect project or design reports, examinations, portfolios, presentations, and blogs. Some assessments will contribute to your final module mark and allow you to demonstrate that you have met the learning outcomes. In contrast, others are designed to help you identify areas that need extra attention on your part or where you need additional support from your tutors.
This programme adopts a blended learning and teaching style, including online delivery and engagement where appropriate.
