Gooseberry and Lime Fool /recipes/gooseberry-lime-fool/ Fri, 19 May 2017 13:44:34 +0000 http://irishheart.ie/?post_type=recipe&p=4522 Adding lime rind to gooseberries gives them a really delicious flavour. For a, easy and tasty summer dessert, this one is hard to beat! It would also work very well with rhubarb and use orange instead of the lime. The amount of sugar you use in this dessert will always depend on the natural sweetness of the fruit you are using. This keeps for up to two days in the fridge so is handy to have made in advance.

Whether you’re a first-time fundraiser or a seasoned veteran, we’re delighted to have you on board! We have outlined some tips below to make sure your Happy Heart event is a success.

Not sure what to do? Here are some great ideas to get you started:

Coffee morning. Hold a coffee morning and invite your friends and colleagues! It’s a great way to catch-up with people and raise vital funds for CPR.

Go red! Hold a Go – red festival, dress in red or have a red bake sale, the more red the better! Host a red themed party or event – get everyone involved and ask them to make a donation. You can do this at home, in your community hall or at work.

Table quiz. Hold a quiz night in school, college or your local pub. Make the rounds interesting and varied; a music round, a picture round and even a taste round!

Set A Target Decide on your fundraising target for the event, and then plan as many ways as possible for the event to make money.

Get Planning Make a checklist and give yourself enough time to get everything done. Try to get sponsorship in kind for things like your venue, facilities and prizes. Pick a date and time that will suit as many people as possible – and do our best to avoid clashes. Pick an appealing theme or activity that people will be glad to get involved in, then find the ideal spot.

Get the word out! Think about who your event is aimed at, who to invite and whether you want to put an upper or lower limit on numbers attending. Use every channel available to tell people about your event. Be sure to reach the right people.
